【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationoftheenergyrequiredtocrackorbreakrigidpoly(vinylchloride)(PVC)plasticsheetingandprofileflatsectionsusedinbuildingproducts,aswellasextrudedormoldedtestsamples,underspecifiedconditionsofimpactfromafreefallingstandardweightstrikinganimpactorwitheitheroftwoconfigurationsincontactwiththespecimen.Twotestproceduresareincluded:ProcedureA,usedtodetermineminimumimpactenergyrequiredtocausefailure(hole,crack,split,shatter,ortear).ProcedureB,usedtodetermineminimumimpactenergyrequiredtocausebrittlefailure.Thevaluesininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Note1-ThereisnosimilarorequivalentISOstandard.Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excluding,thoseintablesinfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthisstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninSection8.
