【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversthechemicalandmechanicalrequirementsofquenchedandtemperedalloysteelbolts,studs,andotherexternallythreadedfasteners4in.andunderindiameterforapplicationatnormalatmospherictemperatures,wherehighstrengthisrequiredandforlimitedapplicationatelevatedtemperature(Note1).Anyalloysteelcapableofmeetingtheminimummechanicalandchemicalpropertiessetforthinthisspecificationmaybeused.Note18212;Forbolts,studs,orotherexternallythreadedfasteners,tobeusedatelevatedtemperatures,refertoSpecificationA193/A193M.1.2Twolevelsofboltingstrengtharecovered,designatedGradesBCandBD.Selectionwilldependupondesignandthestressesandserviceforwhichtheproductistobeused.Note28212;Quenchedandtemperedalloysteelboltsforstructuralsteeljointsupthrough1x00BD;in.indiameterarecoveredinSpecificationA490.Alloysteelbolts,studs,andotherexternallythreadedfasteners(thatis,heavyhex-structuralboltsover1x00BD;in.,hexbolts,anchorbolts,andcountersunkbolts)exhibitingsimilarmechanicalpropertiestoboltsconformingtoSpecificationA490shallbecoveredbyGradeBDofthisspecification.WhenboltsofGradeBDofthisspecificationareconsideredforpretentionedapplicationsinexcessof50%ofthebolttensilestrength,theadditionalrequirementsofheadsize,maximumtensilestrength,nutsizeandstrength,washerhardness,tests,andinspectionscontainedinSpecificationA490shouldbecarefullyconsidered.1.3NutsarecoveredinSpecificationA563.Unlessotherwisespecified,thegradeandstyleofnutforeachgradeoffastenershallbeasfollows:GradeofFastenerandSurfaceFinish

【摘要】:Viscosityisameasureofthefluidityofamaterial.Viscositydataareusefulinthedeterminationoftheeaseofstirring,pumping,dipcoating,orotherflow-relatedpropertiesofpaintsandrelatedfluids.Thistypeofcupisusedtomeasureviscositybecauseitiseasytouse,robust,andmaybeusedintanks,reservoirs,andreactors.Thereareothertypesofapparatusformeasuringviscosityinthelaboratorythatprovidebetterprecisionandbias,includingtheFordviscositycup(TestMethodD1200),andtheBrookfieldviscometer(TestMethodsD2196).Certainhighershearratedevicessuchascone/plateviscometers(TestMethodD4287)providemoreinformationaboutsprayability,rollcoatability,andotherhigh-shearraterelatedpropertiesofcoatings.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofviscosityofpaints,varnishes,lacquers,inks,andrelatedliquidmaterialsbydip-typeviscositycups.Thistestmethodisrecommendedforviscositycontrolworkwithinoneplantorlaboratoryandshouldbeusedtocheckcompliancewithspecificationsonlywhensufficientcontrolshavebeeninstitutedtoensureadequatecomparabilityofresults.1.2ViscositycupsaredesignedfortestingofNewtonianandnear-Newtonianliquids.Ifthetestmaterialisnon-Newtonian,forexample,shear-thinningorthixotropic,anothermethod,suchasTestMethodsD2196,shouldbeused.Undercontrolledconditions,comparisonsoftheviscosityofnon-newtonianmaterialsmaybehelpful,butviscositydeterminationmethodsusingcontrolledshearrateorshearstressarepreferred.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
