【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoverstheestimationofthenetheatofcombustion(specificenergy)atconstantpressureinSIunits,megajoulesperkilogram,fromthefueldensity,sulfur,andhydrogencontent.Thistestmethodispurelyempirical,anditisapplicableonlytoliquidhydrocarbonfuelsderivedbynormalrefiningprocessesfromconventionalcrudeoilthatconformtotherequirementsofspecificationsforaviationturbinefuelsoflimitedboilingrangesandcompositions,asdescribedinNote0andpermittedbyeachspecification.Note0Theestimationoftheheatofcombustionofahydrocarbonfuelfromitshydrogencontent,density,andsulfurisjustifiableonlywhenthefuelbelongstoawell-definedclassforwhicharelationshipbetweenthesequantitieshasbeenderivedfromaccurateexperimentalmeasurementsonrepresentativesamplesofthatclass.Eveninthisclass,thepossibilitythattheestimatescanbeinerrorbylargeamountsforindividualfuelsshouldberecognized.Theclassesoffuelsusedtoestablishthecorreclationpresentedinthistestmethodarerepresentedbythefollowingspecifications:TheheatofcombustioncanalsobeestimatedbyTestMethodsD1405,D3338,andD4529.

【摘要】:ThistestmethodevaluatesRECPsandtheirmeansofinstallationto:5.1.1Reducesoillossandsedimentconcentrationsinstormwaterrunoffunderconditionsofvaryingrainfallintensityandsoiltype,and;5.1.2Improvewaterqualityexitingtheareadisturbedbyearthworkactivitybyreducingsuspendedsolids.Thistestmethodmodelsandexaminesconditionstypicallyfoundonconstructionsitesinvolvingearthworkactivitiesincluding:highwayandroads;airports;residential,commercialandindustrialdevelopments;pipelines,mines,andlandfills;golfcourses;etc.Thistestmethodisaperformancetest,butcanbeusedforqualitycontroltodetermineproductconformancetoprojectspecifications.Cautionisadvisedsinceinformationregardinglaboratoryspecificprecisionisincomplete.Forprojectspecificconformance,uniqueproject-specificconditionsshouldbetakenintoconsideration.Note18212;Thequalityoftheresultproducedbythisstandardisdependentonthecompetenceofthepersonnelperformingit,andthesuitabilityoftheequipmentandfacilitiesused.AgenciesthatmeetthecriteriaofPracticeD3740aregenerallyconsideredcapableofcompetentandobjectivetesting/sampling/inspections/etc.UsersofthisstandardarecautionedthatcompliancewithPracticeD3740doesnotitselfassurereliableresults.Reliableresultsdependonmanyfactors;PracticeD3740providesameansofevaluatingsomeofthosefactors.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheguidelines,requirementsandproceduresforevaluatingtheabilityofRolledErosionControlProducts(RECPs)toprotecthillslopesfromrainfall-inducederosion.CriticalelementsofthisprotectionaretheabilityoftheRECPto:1.1.1Absorbtheimpactforceofraindrops,therebyreducingsoilparticlelooseningthrough"splash"mechanisms;1.1.2Slowrunoffandencourageinfiltration,therebyreducingsoilparticledisplacementandtransportthrough"overlandflow"mechanisms;1.1.3Absorbshearforcesofoverlandflow;and,1.1.4Trapsoilparticlesbeneath.1.2Thistestmethodutilizesfull-scaletestingprocedures,ratherthanreduced-scale(bench-scale)simulation,andispatternedafterconditionstypicallyfoundonconstructionsitesattheconclusionofearthworkoperations,butpriortothestartofrevegetationwork.Thereforethisconsidersonlyunvegetatedconditions.1.3ThistestmethodprovidesacomparativeevaluationofanRECP-tobaselinebaresoilconditionsundercontrolledanddocumentedconditions.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoinch-poundunits,whichareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.5AllobservedandcalculatedvaluesshallconformtotheguidelinesforsignificantdigitsandroundingestablishedinPracticeD6026,unlesssupersededbythisstandard.1.5.1Theproceduresusedtospecifyhowdataarecollected/recordedorcalculated,inthisstandardareregardedastheindustrystandard.Inaddition,theyarerepresentativeofthesignificantdigitsthatgenerallyshouldberetained.Theproceduresuseddonotconsidermaterialvariation,purposeforobtainingthedata,specialpurposestudies,oranyconsiderationsfortheuser''sobjectives;anditiscommonpracticetoincreaseorreducesignificantdigitsofreporteddatatobecommensuratewiththeseconsiderations.Itisbeyondthescopeofthisstandardtoconsidersignificantdigitsusedinanalyticalmethodsforengineeringdesign.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibility......
